The Board and Management of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) commenced a strategic Management Retreat today to dilate on the activities of the year 2017 and to institute processes towards achieving greater successes in 2018.
Although the Commission holds the retreat annually every last quarter, the 2017 edition is coming on the heels of remarkable and measurable successes recorded in the last 12 months, indicating a resolve by the Commission not to rest on its oars.

The Commission Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Character Commission, FCC, Bello Tukur, yesterday led a team of Management staff of the FCC to pay a courtesy visit to the Management of the Nigerian Communications Commission.
Tukur who was received by Prof. Umar Danbatta, EVC/CEO of NCC and some Management staff of NCC, told Danbatta that his organisation and NCC have had exchange visits towards a better understanding of their respective mandates and the interactions have been very positive and rewarding.

The Chairman of the Board of the Nigerian National Merit Award, NNMA, Professor Shekarau Yakubu Aku recently led top management staff of the organisation on a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC.
Prof. Aku's team was received on behalf of the Commission by Prof. Umar Danbatta, the EVC/CEO of NCC. Aku, who assumed duty at NNMA in March 2017, said he came on a courtesy visit essentially for familiarization with the workings of the Commission and to inform the NCC of the instituted processes for the forthcoming Nigerian National Merit Award slated to hold in December 2017.

The International Telecommunication Union, ITU has said it is proud to honour NCC for the Commission's commitment and participation - remarkable expressions that make NCC a "valuable partner at ITU Telecom World events.
This statement is contained in a certificate of appreciation signed by Mr. Houlin Zhao, ITU Secretary General, and issued to NCC at the end of the 2017 ITU Telecom World forum held in Busan, South Korea.

The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, is participating at the International Telecommunication Union, ITU, Telecom World 2017, ongoing at the Exhibition and Conference Centre in Busan, South Korea.
Organised annually by the ITU, the UN agency superintending telecommunication and ICT matters, the forum will reflect on and with a view to deepen conversation on matters that cover the entire gamut of telecommunication, particularly how "rapid growth of digital technologies is affecting traditional telecom and creating new industry sectors and markets".
