The Commission Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Character Commission, FCC, Bello Tukur, yesterday led a team of Management staff of the FCC to pay a courtesy visit to the Management of the Nigerian Communications Commission.
Tukur who was received by Prof. Umar Danbatta, EVC/CEO of NCC and some Management staff of NCC, told Danbatta that his organisation and NCC have had exchange visits towards a better understanding of their respective mandates and the interactions have been very positive and rewarding.
On this visit however, Tukur solicits NCC's support to enhance greater connectivity to boost its operations as well as to bolster data storage and management.
Danbatta thanked his guests for the visit and informed him that NCC strive to create a balance between the imperative for expertise and the constitutional requirement for fair representation in order not to run foul of the law in its recruitment processes.
On the request for support in the information management system of the FCC, Danbatta promised to consider the request in the context of available resources. He also advised Tukur to ensure that all records of employment exercises by Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are in safe custody and properly guarded with adequate back up to ensure appropriate references when necessary.
