The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, participated at the 38th Edition of the Gitex Technology Week holding in in Dubai from the 14th to 18th of October, 2018.
GITEX is an annual consumer computer and electronics trade show, exhibition and conference that takes place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Mr. Nnamdi Nwokike has been named the Director, Public Affairs, by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). His appointment which is in line with the NCC management's realignment of roles and redeployment, follows the retirement of Mr. Tony Ojobo at the mandatory age of 60 years. Prior to this new position, Nwokike was the Director, Corporate Strategy Planning and Risk Management of the NCC. His appointment took effect from October 8, 2018.

Mr. Nwokike's expedition in Nigerian Communications Commission began in 2001 when he became the Deputy Director and pioneer Head, Consumer Affairs Department. A department he started and renamed Consumer Affairs Bureau (CAB).

The Executive Vice Chairman/ CEO, Nigerian Communications Commission, Prof. U.G Danbatta received award for best Telecom Man of the year 2018 at the awards night organized by the Nigerian Tech Innovation and Telecoms Awards on Friday, October 12, 2018, at the Oriental Hotel, Lekki in Lagos.
The new Director of Public Affairs of the NCC, Mr Nnamdi Nwokike, received the award on behalf of Prof Danbatta. The NCC also carted home 2 other significant awards.

The succeeding DIrector of Public Affairs Department, Mr. Nnamdi Nwokike continues with his familiarization visits into day 2, where the DPA and his team paid a visit to Leadership Newspaper and Daily Trust Newspaper, in Abuja on October 11, 2018.
The DPA was received warmly by the two media houses and promised to accord him all the necessary support to succeed.

The Management of the Public Complaints Commission, led by its Chief Commissioner, Hon. Chile Igbawua, paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Communications Commission’s Head Office in Abuja.
