Lagos based Team Leadway Assurance and Team Offikwu with Kaduna as their home base, have secure semi-final places from the Blue Group in the ongoing NCC Tennis League. The two teams, top seeds in the group, are by their semi-final qualification guaranteed a minimum of N2 million which is the prize for the fourth place finisher.
Team Offikwu playing against Team Luik of Lekki - Lagos over the weekend, dropped a match when Christian Paul retired against Chima Michael in the men's reverse singles. Team Luik also came close came close to taking another match in the ladies' singles where Christie Agugbom, immediate past women's champion, narrowly defeated Ronke Akingbade 6-4, 3-6, 10-8 but the star-studded team featuring four national champions were comfortable 6-1 overall winners at the end.

A delegation from the U.K Government paid a courtesy visit to The Nigerian Communications Commission on 24th October 2018 at the commission’s head office.
The UK government through its ministry of prosperity supports scheme will be deploying huge intervention to the tune of 1.2 Billion pounds sterling to generate wealth, create job opportunities and prosperity in selected countries of Africa.

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), has as its mission to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address – a name or a number – into your computer or other Internet devices.
That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a not-for-profit public-benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.

The opening ceremony of the Nigerian Communications Commission’s ‘Roundtable Forum with Academia, Telecom Industry and other Stakeholders holds at the Bayero University Kano on 24th and 25th October 2018.
The forum is expected to improve collaboration among the Commission, academia, telecom industry players and other stakeholders to accelerate innovation, industrial growth and sustainable development in the Nigerian telecoms industry.

- Team SBL Take Full Advantage of Home Tie to Beat Team Luik of Lagos
Team SBL of Jos, Governor Solomon Lalung's team, made the most of their home tie to win their first tie in the NCC Tennis League group round robin matches.
With the tie locked at 3-3 and losing or winning depending on the mixed doubles, the home team featuring the pair of Musa Mohammed and Fortune Ebere, rode a wave of very loud and passionate home support to beatTeam Luik's pair of Mohammed Mohammed and Oluchi Ozurumba 6-1, 6-3.
In the other matches that preceded the mixed doubles, Musa beat Mohammed and Chima Michael 6-3, 7-5 and 6-4, 5-7, 10-7 respectively in the singles. Musa who proved to be the tie winner then paired Daniel Odey to beat the pair of Michael and Henry John 6-4, 5-7, 10-7 to secure the four points needed to win the tie.
