The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) organized a workshop with one of its relevant stakeholders, to discuss and proffer legal solutions to myriads of issues requiring legal attention and redress.
The Judges Workshop is an annual week long event organised by the Nigerian Communications Commission in conjunction with the National Judicial Institute (NJI) to sensitize Nigerian Judges with familiarise with emergent technologies such as use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and SIM Masking/ Refiling in order to brainstorm the legal frameworks surrounding these services.

The Vanguard Newspaper held its Vanguard Annual Conference (2018), The Economic Forum Series on Financial Technology“ with a thematic focus: “E-economy: Nigeria's Emerging Digital Economy and The Role of Financial Technology” at the Civic Centre, Lagos on 28th September, 2018.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) at its 85th Edition of Telecoms Consumer Parliament held in Lagos on September 27, 2018 discussed one of the industry’s key challenges: Call Masking/ Refiling and SIM Boxing. The event was declared open by a welcome address delivered by Deputy Director Consumer Affairs Bureau of NCC, Ismail Adedigba.

The Nigerian Communications Commission held a Stakeholders sensitization programme on protection of telecoms infrastructure at NUJ press Centre, Lokoja, Kogi State on September 25, 2018.
Helen Obi , Head Zonal Operations who delivered the opening remarks stated that “ The programme is an initiative of the Nigerian Communications Commission aimed at sensitizing stakeholders, as well as creating awareness about the importance of Telecommunications Infrastructure in our domain.”

The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta has delivered a lecture entitled "Leveraging ICT For Enhanced National Defence and Security In Nigeria" at the 17th Convocation Lecture in honour of the Graduating Cadets of 66 Regular Course and Postgraduate Students of the Nigerian Defence Academy, in Kaduna on September 26th, 2018.
While delivering his presentation, Prof. Danbatta stated that as of May 2018, the volume of communications through voice technology has reached 162 million active lines, which showcases the importance of deploying Information and Communications Technology infrastructure towards National Defence and cyber security.
