The second edition of the Nigerian Communications Commission Wellness Programme for 2019 held on Saturday, 6th July 2019, in Abuja.

The Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has said that a concrete blueprint that would entrench research and development in the telecommunications industry in terms of curriculum development to produce industry-ready graduates and technology entrepreneurs is imperative to shape the future.
The NCC Chief Executive made this declaration today in an opening remark at the inauguration of the National Steering Committee to develop such path-finding document that would contain new approaches in this regard.

The Executive Commissioner Stakeholder Management at the Nigerian Communications Commission, Sunday Dare, restated the imperative for all citizens to safeguard telecommunication infrastructure across the country because they are critical national assets.
Dare stated the above at a Regional Stakeholders Parliament organised by NCC to engage with relevant state agencies in charge of telecommunications matters which took place in Yola, Adamawa State today.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), in collaboration with the African Telecommunications Union (ATU), West African Telecommunications Regulatory Assembly (WATRA) and Mobile and Wireless Forum (MWF), is developing a framework for combating counterfeiting of ICT Devices in the African sub-region.
Amina Shehu, Director Zonal Operations, NCC, revealed this at a Stakeholders Sensitization Programme held today at Bwari, Abuja, on hazardous effect of Non Type Approved Handsets on humans, Quality of Service and e-waste.

The Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive of the Nigerian Communications Commission, Prof. Umar Danbatta has affirmed that the Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) Short Codes are issued only to those licensed to provide the Value Added Services.
Danbatta stated this today through Bako Wakil, NCC Director of Technical Standards and Network Integrity (TSNI) who spoke in his stead while receiving a delegation from Radio Television Prestigious Awards (RTPWN) that paid a courtesy visit to NCC.
