The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has again, warned telecom consumers from patronising substandard, non-type approved phones, saying connecting such phones to mobile networks is capable of degrading the quality of service delivery on the network of service providers.
Yomi Arowosafe, Zonal Controller, NCC Ibadan Zonal Office, gave the warning during the maiden edition of the Zonal Office’s Consumer Enlightenment Roadshow (CER) programme held in Ibadan metropolis.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has offered important mitigating measures to telecom consumers on how to protect themselves from falling victims of cybercrime in its various forms while using the Internet.
According to the Commission, one of the best ways to be protected is for telecom consumers to get themselves more informed, educated as well as enlightened as possible on the antics of cybercriminals who prowl the cyberspace to defraud legitimate and vulnerable Internet users and expose their victims to all sort of dangers.

The Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta has assured of the Commission’s commitment in consistently complying with its fiscal responsibilities as enshrined in the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2007 (FRA 2007).
Danbatta stated this while receiving a delegation of MTN Communications led by its Group President, Rob Shuter, who paid a courtesy visit to the Commission’s Head Office in Abuja on Thursday, July 25, 2019.

VIDEO: Consumer education will minimise exposure to cybercrimes - NCC
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has stated that a multi-stakeholder approach where all necessarry stakeholders within the telecommunications ecosystem play their respective roles will help in minimising Internet users' exposure to the risks and dangers of cybercrime.
Felicia Onwuegbuchulam, Director, Consumer Affairs Bureau at NCC, stated this during the 108th edition of the NCC's Consumer Outreach Programme (COP) held at the Imo State University, Owerri.
