The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has once again called on telecom consumers to heed the warning of the Commission and stop patronising sellers of Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) cards that have been pre-registered because anyone found using (or selling or otherwise transacting with) such SIM cards will be fined and jailed upon conviction.
Amina Shehu, Director Zonal Operations at NCC, stated this in Gboko, Benue State, yesterday at a sensitization forum focused on educating consumers about issues in telecommunication in Nigeria.

The Management of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has conveyed its decision to appoint Dr. Henry Nkemadu as Director Public Affairs.
A graduate of veterinary medicine from the University of Nigeria, Nkemadu has traversed the length and breadth of NCC acquiring experiences that qualify him for his new role.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has urged the Association of Handset, Hardware and Software Repairer of Nigeria (AHHSRON) to register with appropriate agencies of government in order to formalize its existence and be accorded a fitting status in the comity of telecom stakeholders.
This followed investigation by the Zonal office which revealed the existence of such group in the South West zone of the country.

As it is the practice during educational visits to the Commission by students at different levels of formal learning, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), this morning took students from three schools through a mild process of learning about telecommunications and compartments of telecom regulation.
The students came from Centagon International School, Maitama, Abuja; Excellent Grade International Schools, Kubwa, Abuja; and Intellichild TLC, Gwarimpa, Abuja, and were warmly received by Isa Idris, a Principal Manager in the Department of Corporate Planning, Strategy and Risk Management on behalf of Miss Josephine Amuwa, the Director of the Department.

This Workshop, organised annually by Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), was conceptualized long ago (and has held for 17 consecutive years) to bring the judiciary up to speed with emerging issues in telecommunications.
The objective is to enhance the capacity of the judiciary to dispense justice in telecommunications cases from an informed position oriented in appropriate and contemporary knowledge.
