The Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta, has re-affirmed the Commission’s mandate-driven commitment to always promote any initiative capable of stimulating local and foreign investment in the Nigerian telecommunications sector.
Danbatta stated this when he personally played host to the executive members of the Association of Mobile Phone and Accessories Traders (AMPAT) at the NCC’s Kano Zonal Office, who visited to discuss how to harness investment opportunities in the Nigerian communications sector.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) will continue to prioritise issues pertaining to people with special needs in the country with respect to the provision of telecom services and sticking to its non-discriminatory posture against physically-challenged people in its recruitment process.
The Executive Vice Chairman (EVC), NCC, Prof. Umar Danbatta, stated this when the Commission hosted members of the Association of Physically-Challenged Applicants and Workers (APAW) in Abuja on Thursday, October 31, 2019.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has taken discussion on the need for states to encourage Information and Communication Technology (ICT) investment drive, digital innovation and local content development in the digital ecosystem in the North-Easthern geo-political zone of Nigeria.
This was the fulcrum of stakeholders' discussion at the Emerging Tech Research & Innovation Forum organised by the Commission at the Library Auditorium, American University of Nigeria, (AUN), Yola, Adamawa, where five Executive Governors from Adamawa, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe from the geo-political zone were duly represented.
