The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has said that the introduction of a Framework for Accounting Separation for telecoms licensees will strengthen competition in the nation’s telecommunications industry.
The Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of NCC, Prof. Umar Danbatta, stated this while addressing participants at a four-day capacity building workshop on the Framework for Accounting Separation for the Nigerian Communications industry, which started in Lagos on Tuesday (10/12/2019).

The Deputy Governor of Gombe State, Dr. Manasseh Daniel Jatau, has said that there are tremendous opportunities for leveraging Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in all sectors of the economy.
Jatau, who represented the Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, at the opening ceremony of the 7th Regular Meeting of the National Council on Communications and Digital Economy which took place in Gombe recently, made the declaration in his opening remark at the meeting.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has stated that the telecommunications museum at its Head Office where significant and historical telecommunications objects are exhibited is historic.
Abigail Solanke, Director, Corporate Planning, Strategy and Risk Management (CPSRM) at NCC stated this today (10/12/2019) when she received pupils and teachers of Kese Academy Keffi, Nasarawa State, who came on an educational visit to the Commission.

For his significant contribution to the Federal Government’s agenda aimed at improving security of lives and property through leveraging Information Technology facilities, the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, has been recognised as Nigeria’s Goodwill Ambassador for Security and Emergency Management in Nigeria.
This is following his efforts towards fast-tracking implementation of Emergency Communication centres (ECCs) especially at a time the country is faced with a number of security situations, as before his appointment in 2015 no single emergency communications center was operational in the country but Nigeria boasts on 18 centers now.
