The Director of Technical Standards and Network Integrity (DTSNI) at the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Bako Wakil, a certified engineer, was inducted as a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE) on Thursday (12/12/2019).
Wakil was among over 50 engineers inducted as fellows by the NSE. Many of them captains of industries, and leaders in businesses, were inducted during the 13th Fellowship Conferment and Lecture that took place in Abuja.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has commended the Nigerian media for their role in adequately and accurately educating the Nigerian public about the Commission’s ‘2017 Year of the Consumer’ initiative.
The Commission says it is determined to strengthen collaboration with the media for increased education of telecoms consumer in the country.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has expressed its belief that its efforts at promoting Information and Communication Technology (ICT) innovation and leveraging on emerging technologies will accelerate Federal Government’s agenda to create jobs that will lift millions of Nigerians out of poverty.
The Executive Vice Chairman (EVC), NCC, Prof. Umar Danbatta stated this in keynote address he presented at a two-day forum on "Emerging Technologies Research and ICT Innovation. The event took place at New Keffi Hotel, Keffi, Nasarawa State.

- Warns telecom consumers to be wary of Free WIFI.
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has, again, intensified regulatory efforts towards protecting the interests of telecoms consumers from the scourge of financial frauds.
The Commission also warns that free wireless fidelity (WIFI) and free phone-charging ports, especially at airports and other public places could make it easier for criminals to hack phones.
