The workshop, organised by Public Affairs Department (PAD), in collaboration with Messengers Aktiva Consulting, is part of the processes instituted by the Commission to ensure continuous orientation of members of the SERVICOM Networking Committee in NCC which comprises representatives of all departments in the Commission.
Despite NCC winning many awards and recognition from SERVICOM and other agencies monitoring service delivery in the public sector, the Commission never rested on its oars in ensuring that the spirit behind SERVICOM Charter finds expression in all its operations.
Addressing participants at the workshop which is holding at the Auditorium of the NCC Head Office Annex at Mbora District in Abuja, Dr. Henry Nkemadu, Director Public Affairs at NCC, who gave the opening remarks at the workshop stated that the Commission's SERVICOM Networking Committee is the fulcrum for institutionalization and continuous improvement in service delivery in all parts of the organisation. He stated that the aim of the workshop is to ensure that every department at the Commission constantly rethinks and reviews approaches to service delivery and identify ways to achieve improvement.
Nkemadu urged members of the Committee and other participants to be properly armed with the right tools and resources to drive and support NCC's service delivery initiatives on all fronts. Aside the continuous re-orientation, the NCC Director of Public Affairs affirmed that the workshop will promote deeper understanding of customer-driven initiatives to minimise instances of failure and help to identify areas that can improve the effectiveness of members of the SERVICOM Committee and the NCC SERVICOM Nodal operations in general.
