The Kano Zonal Office of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) recently gave a concrete expression to the centrality of all-inclusive consultations as a theme for attaining sustainable development, when it organised a multi-stakeholder meeting with beneficiaries of Digital Access Programme (DAP) within its jurisdiction.
DAP is one of the four programmes that made up the Schools Support Programme (SSP) through which NCC provides equipment and devices to educational institutions to enable the students and their teachers to learn new digital skills to bridge the digital divide, enhance their studies, and enable them to qualitatively improve on their wellbeing by tapping into the knowledge economy that is oriented in the emergent digital culture.

The Nigerian Communications Commission has restated that appropriate registration of SIM numbers by operators and telecom consumers in Nigeria is mandatory.
Sunday Dare, the Commission's Executive Commissioner for Stakeholder Management, said this again yesterday at the 3rd Anuual Sensitization Workshop on the consequences of using pre-registered SIM cards. The programme was organised by NCC for the North Central zone and it took place at Keffi, Nasarawa State.

The President of the Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA), Emeka Udeze, yesterday, stated that: “NCC has sustained the efforts in ensuring that operators in the telecommunications sector do the right thing by protecting vulnerable customers of various GSM networks in the country.” Udeze, a pharmacist and president of Enugu Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA) made the affirmation yesterday at the NCC Day in the ongoing Enugu International Trade Fair.

The Kano Zonal Office of the Nigerian Communications Commission has taken the topical serial conversation of the Commission with stakeholders to members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), the Physically-Challenged and the Governor of Katsina State.
At the Karaye, NYSC Orientation camp in Kano State, Shuaibu Swade, Controller of NCC Kano Office beseeched the corpers to serve as NCC ambassadors by taking the messages of the Commission further to the grassroots where they will undertake their primary assignments.

As the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) prepares for the next phase of the expansion of broadband services in Nigeria, the Commission says citizens should see the protection of telecommunications infrastructure as a collective responsibility.
Amina Shehu, Director Zonal Operations at the Commission stated this in the morning at Okene, Kogi State where NCC held another edition of Sensitization Programme focused on the protection of telecom infrastructure.
