The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) hereby notifies all Network Operators and Service Providers that the Guidelines on Disaster Recovery, 2023 is operative and that every Licensee must develop and submit a Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) in line with Schedule 2, Paragraph 1.9 of the Guidelines.
The Guidelines requires that all licensees’ applications should be accompanied with a Draft DRP.
In furtherance of the above, the Commission has developed a Checklist to guide in drafting of the DRP in compliance with the provisions of the Guidelines. The Guidelines and Checklist have been published on the website of the Commission and can be accessed at the website of the NCC i.e. https://www.ncc.gov.ng. Please ensure you avail yourselves of the Checklist for guidance and necessary compliance.

There should be strict compliance to the content of this Notice as the Commission will not hesitate to exercise its enforcement powers as entrenched in the Nigerian Communications Act, 2003 and all other relevant Regulations, for non-compliance with same.
