…As operational Centres increase to 25.
In continuation with its vision and strategy to ensure promptness, effectiveness and efficiency in the handling of emergency call services through the Emergency Communication Centres (ECC), the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has embarked on the deployment of Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) solution.
This bolstering of the capacity of emergency response agencies is coming on the heels of Commission's recent activation of the Taraba State ECC, thus bringing the total number of operational ECCs across the country to 25.

The Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (EVC/CEO) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta, has emphasised the commitment of the Commission to continually drive initiatives that accelerate deployment of digital infrastructure, in order to enhance economic transformation of Nigeria.
Danbatta reiterated the commitment of the Commission while speaking at the NCC Day, at the recently-concluded 43rd Kaduna International Trade Fair, organised by the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA).

In commemoration of the World Consumer Rights Day 2022, taking place on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, the Nigerian Communications Commission is organising a debate for students in secondary schools as a pre-event to its main commemorative programme scheduled to take place on 15th March 2022.
The debate will take place on 14th March, 2022 at the Commission’s Head Office Annex Auditorium, Mbora District, Abuja.

For Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the 2022 International Women’s Day became a day for acknowledging his role in women empowerment in the country, as numerous beneficiaries of his efforts decorated him with awards of recognition.
The event was a public lecture organized by the Kano Civil Society Forum (KCSF), an umbrella body of over 200 women's rights groups, in conjunction with the Aminu Kano Centre for Democratic Studies of Bayero University, to mark the 2022 International Women Day (IWD), which Danbatta chaired yesterday in Kano State.

The lecture with the theme: ‘Break the Bias’, slated for March 10, 2022 at the Sa’adu Zungar Auditorium Complex, Mambayya House, Gwammaja, Kano by 10.00 a.m. prompt, is being organised by The Kano Civil Society Forum (KCSF).
