The team showcased multiple innovations such as a GSM Communications based walking cane Robot that allows individuals with disabilities to move freely with minimal chances of falling, and added ability to initiate mobile phone calls using the device.
They also displayed a Seamless Data and Voice Connection using multiple operators enabled SIM card which allows a single SIM card to be used on multiple networks.
Engr. Ubale Maska thanked the Team and the Students for their impressive dedication to developing cost-effective portable devices that would extend the advantages of telecommunications and telemedicine to individuals with disabilities and also provide revenue to the developers.
The event organized in conjunction with the Research and Development Department of the Commission is responsible for carrying and facilitating research for innovative and developmental technologies.
