Facilitation of Broadband Penetration is the first item on the 8-Point Agenda which NCC Management led by Danbatta unveiled as the compass to guide its plans for the consolidation of the exponential growth of the telecommunications sector in Nigeria.

In March, NCC declared 2017 as Year of the Nigerian Telecom Consumer to focus more on the challenges facing  telecom service provision with an eye on improving quality of consumer experience. Increasing broadband availability and its penetration has led the Management of NCC to pay visits to some State Governors, as key stakeholders, to discuss among other issues the challenges associated with connectivity in the states and right of way.
