Regulations

Consistent with Section 70 of the Nigerian Communications Act 2003 (NCA 2003), the Commission is empowered to make and publish regulations on matters such as, but not limited to; written authorisations, permits, assignments and licences granted or issued under the NCA 2003; the assignment of rights to spectrum or numbers; communications related offences and penalties; any fees, charges, rates or fines to be imposed; a system of universal service provision; Quality of Service (QoS) standards; and any other matters as are necessary to enforce the provisions of the NCA 2003.

Guidelines

Consistent with Section 70 Subsection 2 of the Nigerian Communications Act 2003 (NCA 2003), the Commission is empowered to make and publish guidelines on all matters as are deemed necessary to give full effect to the provisions and administration of the NCA 2003,

The following are the legal guidelines issued by the Commission, in line with the NCA 2003;

Frequency Allocation Tables

The National Frequency Table of Allocations is a compendium of frequency allocations to services applicable to Nigeria as well as a depiction of frequency usage in Nigeria. This table has been developed and periodically reviewed in conformity with the international regulations governing radio spectrum and the international/ regional agreements acceded to by the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the capacity of the National Frequency Management Council.
